Protect your account
You are liable for all activity occurring on your eJay account. Therefore, you must take steps to prevent unauthorised use (or misuse) of your account.

Passwords
Use strong passwords. Never use a single word which can be found in a dictionary. Strong passwords should contain numeric and special characters (such as $,%,*,#, etc). Never use your birthdate, phone number, any of your names, or the same passwords used on other systems (such as your email account).

An example of a strong password which is easily remembered could be: $0ld-my-1tem (translates to 'Sold My Item')

What eJay will never do:
eJay will never ask you for your personal information via email. Nor will eJay ask you in an email to verify your details (including asking for your credit card/bank account details).

We will never ask you for your password.

Beware of imposter Emails
Periodically, you will receive emails in regards to your activities on eJay. Learning which emails are fradulent is an important step in preventing you from becoming a victim of fraudsters.

If you receive an email which appears to originate from eJay or claims to be from eJay, and the email is asking for personal information to be submitted or reverified, there is a very high chance that it was not from eJay.

Never click on links in an email which appear to go to the eJay website. Instead, you should manually type the address in your Internet web browser. Clicking on email links is risky, as you may unknowingly disclose your password to a imposter website, and cause your eJay account to become compromised.
